We’ve had another busy week in Acorns! Here are some of the things we’ve been getting up to.

Ball skills in PE
In RE we have been learning all about Holy week. We wrote sentences about the days leading up to Easter Sunday and looked at how Christians celebrate Easter.
As part of Autism Acceptance Week and the theme of colour, we went over to Willows to design yellow butterflies to be part of a whole school display. We then wrote acrostic poems using positive adjectives to describe people.
To end the Rocks, Relics and Rumbles topic we looked as tsunamis and how they are caused.
For our smelly egg competition we designed some dinosaurs and eggs and created a display with our volcanoes.
We had our final Kidsafe session and were all awarded certificates.
We have really enjoyed participating in Kidsafe week and ‘Purple Day’ raising funds for the charity Kidsafe UK. We designed and created banners, flags and posters!
Each class made Kidsafe themed treats to sell at playtimes. Yum!
On ‘Purple Day’ we all wore something Purple. We used our banners and flags to welcome Val and Jude (Kidsafe UK programme developers) and KS to Fellgate. We had a really great day!
