Hollies and Maples had a special visit from Amanda with some letters addressed to the children. Santa has replied to our letters! We enjoyed opening our letters and reading the lovely message from Santa, Mrs Claus, the reindeer and the elves.
Today the children in Maples and Hollies have enjoyed spending time in the snow. Look at how much fun we had!
Looking smart for Christmas Jumper Day!
For our final session of construction club this term the children had some festive builds to construct.
With careful attention to detail and amazing imagination they produced some fantastic Christmas-themed builds!
The children in Willows have been making their Christmas cards and 2023 calendars.
They used different collage techniques to create their colourful designs.
Don’t they look wonderful!
This week in Acorns we have started our Christmas preparations. We put up our Christmas trees, and everyone was invited to bring a bauble from home to add to our mini tree. We have been making Christmas decorations and paper chains, and we decided to build a sleigh for Santa!
In Maths we have been exploring the composition of 10, and looking for representations of 10 around us.
In phonics we have worked hard at our blending and tricky words, and we are trying hard to form our letters correctly.
It’s been another busy week!

Today the children in Maples and Hawthorns have enjoyed making bagel pizzas as part of their DT work. They used different tools to spread the pizza sauce and added either cheese or ham or both to make their delicious pizzas. They looked amazing once they were cooked!
The past few weeks Cherries have been reading Stone Age Boy. This week they did some great character descriptions of Om and the boy from the story. They described clothing, hair and even facial expressions to say how the character was feeling and why.
