World Cup Fever

In Cherries to celebrate the men’s World Cup starting we chose 3 teams in the school sweepstake and coloured and designed their flags. Can you guess which 3 countries?

We also used a world map to locate and colour the teams.

We designed our own football strips.

We also watch the England game and celebrated their goals with cheers!

At construction club this week, the children were faced with the challenge; how to get over the river…

As a group they came up with lots of suggestions about how to do this:

  • boats/yachts
  • rafts
  • pirate ships
  • bridges
  • stepping stones

The children worked in teams of 4 to construct several imaginative creations.

Anti-Bullying Week 2022

As part of our work in Anti-Bullying Week in Oaks we looked into the history of work by the Anti-Bulling Alliance which is the charity behind Anti Bullying week.

We explored lots of information about Anti -Bullying week and bullying in general. We researched key information and then produced detail non-chronological reports on the subject.

The children enjoyed writing up all of their facts, information and statistics on the subject in their 2 page spreads.
