In Mindfulness Club we have been exploring sensory activities, and really enjoyed playing with the water beads.
We also enjoyed ‘taking the pencil for a walk’, creating patterns and making friendship bracelets.

Mindfulness Club is every Tuesday in Acorns classroom, and is supported by Mrs Malone and Pat.
We do a range of activities to improve and develop our mindfulness skills, including yoga, playing with playdoh and fidget toys, listening to music, mindful colouring and creating things like beaded friendship bracelets.
We chat, play and have fun, and always leave with a great sense of wellbeing!
This week in Mindfulness Club we enjoyed using the new ‘balance snake’. We had to remove our shoes and focus on staying balanced as we walked along the snake. We had great fun but it was quite tricky!
We also did some mindful colouring, concentrated on solving wordsearches, and listened to some lovely relaxing music with beautiful underwater images.
We had some very special visitors to Mindfulness Club – Lauren’s rabbits!
Everyone was very gentle and careful when meeting them.
We hope they visit again soon, thank you Lauren!
This week in mindfulness club we started off by listening to a story and doing some ‘butterfly breathing’. Then we had a choice of drawing, lego, sensory toys or quiet reading. We ended by listening to some music.
We all enjoyed a lovely, peaceful time.
In Mindfulness club this week, we have been using our creative skills to colour some positive quotes to keep focused. We have also been learning breathing techniques to understand how to regulate our emotions in preparation for our lessons at school.

We listened carefully to adults and each other, took turns and respected the equipment we used. We enjoyed exploring the resources in the Nurture Room.
Today in our first mindfulness club we discussed what it means to be mindful, and talked about the activities we are going to do over the coming weeks.
This week we started with some calming music and yoga, then we created some pictures and patterns. We finished off with some more music and a ‘mindful looking’ task.
