Birches class had a parent workshop this week where the children worked with their parents to create a magnetic maze. The children have been learning lots about magnets so really enjoyed this task. There were lots of creative ideas and everybody did really well to create a working magnetic maze.
In today’s mindfulness session the boys worked on deep breathing and came up with some positive affirmations for themselves. Some of the boys said – “I am kind”, “I am awesome” and “I am a good friend”.
Birches class have had fun during golden time doing dancing, completing jigsaws and playing with trains. 
Birches class had some visitors this week from Kevin and Lola the French lop bunnies. The children were very calm around the rabbits and learnt some interesting rabbit facts.
Birches were really creative and took their time to draw their self portraits. 
Birches created their own Union Jack flags. We used different tools to create the dotted effect in the style of pointillism.
The boys in Birches created their own flowers out of paper plates to make a class bouquet.
Birches Class planted their own seeds this week as part of science week.
The children in Birches enjoyed some calm and quiet time in our daily mindfulness sessions. 
Today in Birches the boys carefully sketched drawings of some flowers and plants.
