What a busy half term it has been in Willows!

There has been so much going on and lots of great learning has happened.

The children have been reading The Great Kapok Tree in English and linked this to their Rainforests topic. They have produced some fantastic pieces of writing such as; rainforest setting descriptions using the 5 senses and they carried out their own research about a rainforest animal to write a non-chronological report about it.

Science this half term has been all about plants. The children have carried out an investigation to explore the ideal conditions for a plant to grow strong and healthy, explored the parts of a flowering plant and found out about the process of pollination.

At the start of this half term we celebrated Remembrance Day. Using Purple Mash software, Willows created some Remembrance themed pictures.

During the run up to the Christmas holidays, the children went to see the pantomime, had a Christmas jumper day and enjoyed a Christmas dinner too!
