Letter for parents about COVID-19 symptoms
Public Health England have produced a letter for schools to distribute to parents which explains when a person requires a coronavirus test and what the symptoms of coronavirus are. The Department would be grateful if you could share and circulate this letter amongst parents at your school.
The intention of the letter is to help prevent children being taken out of school unnecessarily and answer some of the questions parents may have around testing

We have had a wonderful first week back in Willows. Everyone has settled in really well and has adjusted to the new school routine.
During our first week the children sketched their own self portraits. Their fabulous work is proudly display on our classroom door.
The children have also been writing a character description about themselves, creating an ‘All About Me’ poster and learning about the digestive system. A very busy first few days! Let’s keep up the fantastic attitude 😁
I can’t wait to spend the rest of the year with you all and I am looking forward to getting to know you a little better.

Good Morning,
I hope all our Fellgate families are feeling well?
Just a reminder regarding COVID-19.
If anyone in your household shows any of the following symptoms…
A high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)
A new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)
A loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you’ve noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal
If you have any of the main symptoms of coronavirus:
Get a test to check if you have coronavirus as soon as possible.
Stay at home and do not have visitors until you get your test result – only leave your home to have a test.
Anyone you live with, and anyone in your support bubble, must also stay at home until you get your result.
Your child will need to return to school if the test if negative. If the test is positive, please inform school and follow Government advice.

Please find attached a joint open ministerial letter from Vicky Ford MP, Parliamentary-Under Secretary of State for Children and Families, and Helen Whately MP, Minister of State for Care, to children and young people, their families and those who support them, about the return to school in September.
The letter:
explains the importance of all pupils returning to school from September
Signposts the guidance to help educational settings prepare for the full return of pupils; and
address the key concerns that have been shared about all pupils returning.
