Keeping Children Safe online over the Summer Holidays with CEOP
Children and young people can continue to report concerns to CEOP’s safety centre over the summer break. If they’re worried about online sexual abuse or the way someone has been communicating with them online, they can let CEOP know and speak to one of our child protection advisers.
There is also lots of information and advice on CEOP’s parents and carers website to help keep your children safer online over the holiday such as:
- Are you worried about something which has happened online?
- Reporting to social media sites
- 7 questions parents ask about nude selfies
Please see our weekly school newsletter for Friday 23rd July:

Maples had a fantastic time at the beach! We went searching for large rocks to build a shelter, went searching for creatures in the rock pools and completed some challenges on the sand. We found lots of different creatures including a crab and a large fish! We finished off our session by roasting marshmallows and making s’mores.

As you all know this last year has been one of the most challenging for our children and the impact on their mental wellbeing has been significant. Kalmer have developed a free digital magazine DOSE which has resources and articles aimed at informing about the importance and significance of addressing our mental wellbeing in ways which can be creative and fun.
DOSE have created a free summer holiday pack filled with activities to boost those happy hormones and allow children to take control over their mental wellbeing. Head over to the website below to download the summer pack and browse other resources.
Everything is free so take what you need, share because you care and together lets have a happier school holiday.
Please see the new family information leaflet produced by South Tyneside Mental Health Team. It has details and contact information for different agencies within South Tyneside as well as details on food banks and where parents can access wellbeing support over the Summer holidays:
