To start Movie review club we went through what we will be doing in the next few weeks. Our intention is to choose  and watch movies we are unfamiliar with, then create a movie review, either in writing or online.

We had a choice of 3 relatively lesser-known movies and voted for the most popular choice. The children voted for the 1989 Disney classic: Honey I Shrunk The Kids. We discussed how old the movie was (Can you believe it is 32 years old?) then compared movie openings to how they are done today. We correctly identified pre-movie credits were a much bigger deal then as it lasted for several minutes and included a cartoon, while nowadays it is the after movie credits which people often stay around to watch.
