In Apples class we looked at the artist Mondrian. We discussed how we could see rectangles, squares and triangles inside the heart. Using a ruler, we carefully drew lines vertically and horizontally in our hearts to create a range of shapes. We chose four main colours to paint the shapes with but chose to leave some shapes blank, so the coloured shapes became a focus point. We enjoyed making sure we had to keep the paint within the lines, so our individual shapes look really clear. We had fun learning maths through art!
