This term our DT topic is ‘Chop, slice and mash!’. This week we looked at different ways to prepare fruits and vegetables and the vocabulary used. After watching a demonstration each child in Pines took turns to chop some celery, slice a cucumber, mash a banana, grate a carrot, peel an apple and tear some lettuce. Everyone did an excellent job following the instructions. The following day in literacy we recalled what we did and matched the vocabulary to our photographs.
