This week at club, the children made their own initials out of Lego.
They also had some fun constructing their own action figures with the Bionicles.
This week in club the children constructed their own paper planes.
They were all able to follow the set of instructions to make their desired design and then let them take flight in the school hall.
To kick start the new year, this week in construction club, the children have been using different materials to make 3D structures.

For our final session of construction club this term the children had some festive builds to construct.
With careful attention to detail and amazing imagination they produced some fantastic Christmas-themed builds!
This week at construction club, the children had to build a tower that was at least 1 metre tall and could stand up on its own.
This wasn’t as easy at it may sound and the children worked hard together to achieve their build.
They had to experiment with lots of different building techniques to make sure that they built a tower that could stand up independently.

As a group they came up with lots of suggestions about how to do this:
- boats/yachts
- rafts
- pirate ships
- bridges
- stepping stones
The children worked in teams of 4 to construct several imaginative creations.
In construction club last week the children had great fun exploring some of the different building materials that they can use.
They used Lego, K-nex and interlocking shapes.
It was so great to see the children working together to build structures and sharing the equipment.
